Vintage Japanese Motorcycle Ride - Texas Hill Country

Topic: Rally News

There is going to be a loosely organized ride in the Texas Hill Country the last weekend in October. This originally began three years ago with 7 riders from various locations in Texas, most of whom were riding old Suzuki GS motorcycles who organized it through the GS Resources website forum. It has expanded to include riders from the KZ Riders Forum, the Honda CB750-900-1100 Forum and riders from the Yamaha XS1100 Forum. We welcome all riders but like to see the older Japanese bikes but that is nowhere near a requirement. We have a Harley that rides with us, a RC51, and a Honda Blackbird...if you ride you are welcome here! Here is the plan: 6:30-9:00 PM Friday, 29-Oct-04 - Meet at the Gristmill River Restaurant in Gruene, Texas.

We will socialize, firm up ride routes, and drool over different bikes. 9:00 PM Friday, 29-Oct-04 - Depart for respective sleeping areas. If any one else decides to go on this ride and wants to camp out at Randy's place (it's free) please let me know. He has an outside shower and a bathroom (modern outhouse) so it is a very comfortable campsite. I will send directions and I also need to let him know so that he has some idea how many people will be camping. Right now there are about 15 folks camping in 10 tents. There is plenty of room and you can't beat the price! 7:30 AM Saturday 30-Oct-04 - Meet at the Old Spanish Trail (OST) Restaurant in Bandera for breakfast and initial ride start point. After breakfast, begin the ride. We normally put in between 375 to 400 miles on the ride. Saturday evening after the ride – Return to Randy’s place for ribs and socializing. Sunday – Pack up and head back home. Hap
